Yik-Jot often poses as an eccentric traveling merchant and street magician, capable of simple parlour tricks. However, this is simply a ruse, Yik-Jot, formerly the human wizard Elias, is the loyal servitor of the dragon lord [[dragon_lords:leucetius|Leucetius]]. 

Legends and whispers tell of the creation of Leucetius' servitor; as he wondered the desert, lost for purpose and seeking to end his life, Elias happened across an incredible sight above him. Two creatures soared high above engaged in a pitted battle. Shielding his eyes from the harsh sun, Elias quickly realised that the creatures were not two birds of prey as he had first imagined, but instead two unimaginably large dragons, one a deep sky blue, the other a glittering silver, in a battle to the death. Stunned at such a sight, he could not muster the ability to act, instead watching the conflict unfold before him. 

As the two dragons battled, claws and teeth tearing at scaled flesh, strikes of lightning emerging from the blue dragon and waves of freezing cold from the silver, arcane incantations echoing in the desert air as they traded blow after blow until finally the blue dragon spiraled out of the sky, landing before Elias. Spotting the mortal before him, the dragon saw the hollowness in his eyes, recognizing the mortal despair of a lost soul. He offered the mortal a swift death in exchange for his magical energy to save his own life. Looking up to the silver dragon spiralling overhead, Elias looked back to the blue dragon, collapsed in the sand before him, thinking that perhaps his life could perhaps finally be of use to another, and accepted. As he allowed the dragon to absorb his magical energy, renewing it of it's strength, it rose, regaining it's vigor and power and finally fulfilling it's end of the bargin as it snapped it's jaws down onto Elias' weakened form.

The dragon, renewed with Elias' energy rose back into the sky and defeated his rival, but was moved by the actions of the mortal who had helped him gain this victory. Using the blood of his fallen foe, the blue dragon soaked the earth around him, imbuing it with life and his own power. As he spoke the arcane incantations, the blood slowly gathered, with the sand of the desert, rising into a humanoid shape, it's features defining into those of Elias, opening his eyes suddenly as consciousness rushed back to him, gasping for air as his lungs formed within him. Looking up, he saw the dragon who had taken his life standing before him, speaking to answer his unspoken questions as he explained who he was: The dragon lord of lightning, Leucetius. He had recreated Elias as his servitor, given him a new purpose in life, and with a new purpose, a new name. He would be dubbed Yik-Jot, servitor of Leuceitus, and would enact his new master's will where he could not.
